The Frontage
I think everyone agrees that Square Corner looks quite drab on the outside! We want it to look morewelcoming, to more people, more of the time. Our plans include:Cleaning up the paintwork and removing the tiles
A new shopfront window with double glazing to keep heat in, and the noise out.
Replacing the bollards with a reinforced wall.
A wider doorway for easier access at events
Better lighting and window displays
New Square Corner signage
Renovating the sash windows on the first floor
The Kitchen
A larger kitchen with a cooker and hob, dishwasher, fridge freezer and hot water
Better storage and easier access to the café area
The CaféThe café will have a complete make-over, providing a modernand inviting space for people to meet, share, laugh and help.The café will be available to hire and for volunteers to run avariety of groups and activities for the community.
A new doorway for easier access to the toilets and kitchen.
A new ceiling with modern low energy lighting
New radiators and gas central heating throughout
A flatscreen TV, projector, sound system, and data networking for IT and other classes
A wider and taller hatch, with a walk-through to make it easier to serve people from the kitchen.
An improved window display area, wall displays and community information
